Business Development Associate
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm; 1 hour for lunch. Total working hours: 37.5 hours
Company operates Flexible Working Times; Arrive anytime from 8:00hrs – 10:00hrs and finish any time after 16:00hrs
Salary: Dependent on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible
The Role
This is a truly unique opportunity for a highly professional smart candidate who is willing to learn & develop. You will work alongside senior management in a supportive environment where you become an integral part of our success story. You will be working at international level and be responsible for 4 or 5 existing accounts, and developing new markets.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing professional working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to positively influence sales potential and positioning of products.
- Maintaining strong positive relationships with existing & new business accounts.
- Developing a good commercial understanding of your international markets.
- Driving account satisfaction by fully understanding customer requirements and needs in the relevant territories, and addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
- Developing a good understanding of Cyclogest & the female health therapeutic area.
- Proactively identifying leads and obtaining new business on a global level.
- Work closely with Commercial manager to negotiate, develop & execute contracts with existing and new accounts as they arise.
- Maintaining business plans for each of your accounts.
- Accountable for hitting sales and profit targets to drive the business forward.
- Reviewing monthly sales & profitability by account.
- Staying abreast of competitor activities and look out for new opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining action plans for how accounts will achieve targets, and identifying specific actions to increase revenue.
- Developing annual business plans and forecasts with customers, which align with company targets.
- Willingness and ability to assist with ad hoc business projects as defined and directed by the management team.
- Working closely with regulatory, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure your accounts needs are met.
Requirements:
- Ideally you will be a graduate with either a science or business degree. However, this is not critical providing you are highly self-motivated, smart & willing to develop and learn at a fast pace.
- You will be account focused with the ability to develop outstanding professional relationships with all the key stake holders.
- Strong team player with the ability to work as part of a team or individually, commercially minded with the ambition to win new business and contribute to business growth.
- Demonstrable commercial and customer focused experience.
- Problem solving, and action orientated.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Proven track record in negotiating & influencing to deliver agreed and measurable objectives.
- Able to adapt and manage change.
- Self-starter with a ‘positive go get’ attitude.
- Effective and persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Account management skills that demonstrate business acumen and an innovative approach to projects & solutions that bring added value to LD Collins and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, with high level of proficiency in Office applications.
- Able and willing to travel internationally.
